Report in brief by Organizer / Coordinator / Convener: The main objective of this workshop is to give exposure to students on various types of Antennas and Antenna design software HFSS. It is conducted by the department of ECE on 14th Sep 2017 in association with Dr.B.T.P Madhav, Professor, K.L.University, Guntur. Around 190 students from III Year ECE and 25 faculty members have been participated in this workshop. The workshop has given a good insight about basic parameters of antenna, types of antenna and software tool HFSS. In the morning session theory about antennas was explained and afternoon session was demonstration of “how to design a microstrip antenna using HFSS” and hands-on session was conducted in the computer lab. Students learned to design and simulate a micro strip antenna model and also observe results. This workshop also triggered students to do projects in this domain. It is helpful for the faculty who are pursuing research in antennas.
