She did her B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from I.R.T.T, Erode, Tamilnadu, M.Tech in Electrical Power Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad. She also did her Masters in MBA at Bharathiar University, Coimbatore., Under her Leadership the department is totally strengthen.

The Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering affliated to JNTUK-Kakinada was established in the year 2008 with an intake of 60 students and subsequently enhanced to 120 in the year 2010 for B.Tech programme. The Department also offers M.Tech programme with specialization in Power Electronics and Drives from the academic year 2012 with an intake of 18.

The department has made significant growth in terms of infrastructural and academic standards on par with other premier institutions in Andhra Pradesh. The department has well experienced professors with Ph.D and M.Tech qualifications, Associate and Assistant Professors with M.Tech qualification and maintains a faculty student ratio of 1:15 as per AICTE norms. The department has the following fully equipped laboratories for UG and PG Programmes to impart practical knowledge to students who can take up any assignment after their graduation/post graduation.

The department provides licensed versions of the software listed below

1. MATLAB

To carry out the studies in advanced field of Electrical Engineering and also to take up in-house projects, well qualified and dedicated faculty members who are instrumental in building the career of the students are available in the department.

The department periodically organizes National/International conferences, seminars / Symposia, workshops and arranges guest lecturers for the benefit of the students and faculty as well. The department periodically conducts Technical Seminars/Quiz, remedial classes for the slow learners and also Communication Skills development classes for the benefit of Students. The students are placed in various organizations like INFOSYS, TCS,TECH-MAHINDRA, SYNTEL, WIPRO, INFOTECH, VOLTECH, MICROTECK,PETROFAC, Gayatri Electricals Ltd, and Cognizant Technologies Solution (CTS),e.t.c.

Faculty members are actively involved in research and academic developmental / consultancy activities. The faculty takes keen interest in attending summer / winter schools / workshops / conferences to acquire the technical knowledge about the latest technical developments in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and published/presented Research papers in various reputed journals/conferences. The management has keen interest to promote quality education and provide financial assistance to faculty members for attending seminars / workshops etc. The Department conducts industrial tours every year and visits to various industries and power houses for students are arranged as part of their curriculum.
